you cant start with the 3rd MGS you have to play them in the order thay came out. If you look anywhere thats the way it is supposed to be played

You can play them in the order they came out, but if you can't remember storylines, then it will confuse you as Naked Snake (Big Boss) looks exactly like Solid Snake, has the same character for his voice, (David Hayter) and they both are called snake over the Codec. I like playing them in Year order, not release order.

I mean proper undesrstanding of the storyline not just a vague memory.. I like piecing together absolutely everything, including remembering where all the gekos are.

Love the metal gear series but I noticed something wrong with your list of games.
Rising is et after 4 as raiden has lost most of his body due to events in the fourth game. If you watch the E3 trailer you see he is missinsg his Eye and one of his arms plus lower body is mechanical.

Still MGS pwns all in story lines.

I haven't followed the news recently on Rising but it said before that it was going to be set before 4 to show how he got his mad ninja skillz! :LD

could be before and after.... it is a story all about him not just a random action game the events in mgs4 are all part of his story after all... should be epic

Yeah, that could be it. That would be great. I've just started Peace Walker again. The story of Metal Gear is awesome.

i love the metal gear story but peace walker just seems annoying to me.

I watched a few vids of it and it just annoyed me with the talking and stuff.

I played the first two missions and thought it was pants but it has really grown on me. I love how you can send troops out to other countries and collect parts for Metal Gear Zeke and stuff. It's great.
Helped with understanding Miller's (the one who turns out to be liquid snake in MGS1) coming into the story. Also, Huey is in there and he looks exactly like Hal. Haven't got far enough to understand his story yet. :L

I have Peace Walker and played a bit of it. I haven't picked up my PSP in a while but I will do when I can be bothered, I want to play it ofc.

When you do,tell me. I can't get passed the second peace walker battle without a second player. I think the game was designed for co-op tbh. :/
